The LFSP facilitates the development of resilient and scalable markets for smallholder farmers. It also supports the growth of agro-enterprises, through the provision of technical assistance, linkages to finances and co-creation of viable business models. This enables access to markets and essential services for the smallholder farmers. At least 13 business models have been developed to support farmer enterprises based on these key success factors:
- Identification of potential market actors for mentoring and provision of technical assistance to farmers.
- Commercial demonstration and co-creation of business models with the farmers.
- Supporting the policy and regulatory environment for the business of agriculture.
- Business models that promote gender and social equity in markets.
